Dubai accounts for 20% of the hotel projects under construction in the region
The American company Lodging Econometrics, which specializes in the real estate consultancy sector, reported that the total number of hotel projects under construction in Dubai has reached 111 projects, comprising 32,000 369 rooms, indicating that the emirate accounts for 20.3% of the number of projects under construction in the Middle East. And 19.2% of the volume of rooms under construction regionally.
The company stated in a study, which "Emirates Today" obtained a copy of, that the number of hotel rooms under planning and construction in the UAE market reached 40,846 by the end of the third quarter of this year, among 146 hotel projects.
The company indicated that the number of hotels under planning and construction in the Middle East reached 545 projects with 168,000 rooms by the end of the third quarter of this year, with a decline of about 6% for projects and 19% for rooms, on an annual basis compared to the end of the third quarter of last year.
