"Come to Yunnan in winter to bask in the sun!" When winter begins in all parts of the country, Kaiyuan City, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province is still warm as spring. Sunlight is sprinkled on tens of thousands of mu of flowers through greenhouses. Flower farmers monitor the growth of flowers in real time through mobile apps. , One key to control the light, temperature and humidity in the greenhouse.

Recently, the reporter walked into the National Modern Agricultural Industrial Park of Kaiyuan City and learned that the local area is based on scientific and technological facilities, and is connected to the big data platform management in the flower cultivation, planting, and trading links, and digitally empowers the fragrant and colorful "flower economy" .

The integration of industry, university and research keeps the "root" of Yunhua

Kaiyuan National Modern Agricultural Industrial Park is located in Yangjie Township, Kaiyuan City. It is the only national modern agricultural industrial park in the country with flowers as the leading industry. The industrial clusters of seedling breeding, high-quality flower planting, cold chain logistics, Internet sales, entrepreneurial incubation and other links have achieved a comprehensive flower output value of 1.464 billion yuan.

Due to the insufficient supply of innovations, most of the high-end flower seedlings and seeds in the Yunnan flower industry depend on imports from abroad, which not only affects the initiative and voice of "Yunhua" in the international market, but also presents a greater risk of sustainable development.

In order to retain the "roots" of Yunhua, the park has built 1.2 million square meters of greenhouses, 3456 square meters of tissue culture rooms, and 60,000 square meters of intelligent new varieties of seedlings, introduction and expansion of trial planting bases and 3,000 square meters of intelligentization. The provenance base of clonal flowers focuses on cultivating mid-to-high-end seedlings and new varieties of "Yunhua".

The park cooperates with 8 national-level provincial scientific research institutions including Yunnan Agricultural University, Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences Flower Research Institute, Nanjing Agricultural University, etc., to build expert workstations, establish a long-term cooperation mechanism with scientific research institutions, and promote in-depth integration of production, study, research and application. Accelerate the integration and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, focus on the research and development and breeding of seedlings, and have introduced and developed 531 new flower varieties with independent intellectual property rights.

Whole process visualization, efficient planting benefits flower farmers

"Flower planting has strict requirements on light, temperature and humidity. Whether it can be adjusted in time according to changes in weather conditions is the key to whether flower products can achieve high quality." Lu Zhonghui, head of the Kaiyuan National Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, told reporters , The park has built 80 square meters of LED display screens, completed the visualization of the digital park, and realized the visualization and intelligent control of the growth of flowers in the park's Yunhua Innovation Center, gerbera planting and other bases.

At present, the visualization platform for the entire digital flower industry chain has been connected to the industrial park’s nearly 5 years of industrial data, the three-dimensional geographic information data of the industrial park, the latest aerial survey data of about 25,000 mu in the core area in 2021, the high-resolution 1x1 km grid weather data of the park, Variety data, production and sales data of 8 well-known enterprises, greenhouse IoT data, crop planting data, and comprehensive data of 3 pilot bases. The system has been deployed to the exhibition hall of Kaiyuan High-Efficiency Modern Agriculture Park.

"Big data can not only help flower farmers predict the weather and market conditions, but also enable the park to achieve comprehensive and efficient management, and make overall planning for the varieties, cycles, and time to market for flower farmers." Lu Zhonghui said that this can avoid disadvantages within the park. Competition, the use of big data to research and judge the time difference in the flower market, maximize the economic benefits of flower farmers.

Digital industry chain, "flower economy" boosts rural revitalization

The Kaiyuan National Modern Agricultural Industrial Park covers 4 towns (streets), with 31,000 rural households with a total of 110,000, strengthening its radiation effect.

Establish a stable interest linkage mechanism, through the binding development model of "enterprise + base + farmers", "enterprise + cooperative + base + poor households", give full play to the advantages of the park's professional seedling companies and patented varieties, and explore for the revitalization of rural industries. A feasible path.

According to Lu Zhonghui, the “trilogy” of scientific and technological assistance to agriculture by instructing local farmers to study with pay, supporting the incubation of local expert planters, and encouraging plant experts to organize their entrepreneurship has radiated 18,837 farmers in surrounding towns and villages to develop 68,500 acres of flower industry. The per capita disposable income is more than 23,000 yuan.

In the next step, the park will build a Kaiyuan digital flower industry chain platform. Through digital twins, it will integrate various links from source planting, production and processing, transaction circulation, brand marketing, and form real-time perception, collaborative interaction, and dynamic feedback scene services.

At the same time, it integrates the development model of "flower production + science popularization + viewing + creative culture + leisure experience", and uses agricultural manors, theme attractions, tourist towns, and technology demonstration parks as carriers to promote the integrated development of industries.
