China News Service, Kunming, November 29 (Reporter Miao Chao) The reporter learned from China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. on the 29th that the China section of the China-Laos Railway has completed full-map operation. This is the last test link for the railway to meet the conditions for opening.
In the full-map operation test link, China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. ran 15 EMUs in different sections within a day, completely following the train schedule's arrival and departure time, stations and operating lines.
The China-Laos Railway is more than 1,000 kilometers in length, starting from Kunming, China in the north, to Vientiane, Laos, in the south. It consists of the Chinese section and the Lao section.
After opening to traffic, Kunming to Vientiane is expected to achieve direct transportation and same-day access.
