The total length of the project is about 79 kilometers, of which the Sichuan section is 69 kilometers long, and the Chongqing section is 10 kilometers long. It has a two-way four-lane and a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The approved total investment is 7.02 billion yuan.
During the construction process, the project adopted a continuous rigid-frame bridge across the Qujiang River, effectively avoiding the Qujiang Yellow Catfish and White Turtle National Aquatic Germplasm Resources Protection Zone.
The project was jointly conducted by the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission for feasibility review and project approval, and was invested and constructed by the Shudao Group, which provided strong support for accelerating the integrated development of transportation in the two-city economic circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing region.

In the future, it will focus on promoting the Chengdu Outer Ring Railway, Guangba and Dawan Railways and other key projects.
