During the health crisis and the various confinements, domestic violence increased in France.

Faced with this worrying increase, AGIPI and the Association Femmes avec… are mobilizing to provide a concrete response.

The Covid crisis has been the source of many upheavals.

Some are particularly worrying, such as the situation of victims of domestic violence.

Since the health crisis, reports of violence have increased by 60% in France.

Support solutions have gradually been put in place during this complex period.

AGIPI, in conjunction with the Femmes avec… association, has innovated to offer victims concrete help with insurance coverage specific to domestic violence.

Respond to an unprecedented situation

Forced into confinement, victims of domestic violence no longer had any loopholes and their situation could quickly become untenable.

It was therefore necessary to alert, engage and provide an innovative response that takes into account these unprecedented issues, to fight against this scourge and offer guarantees to the victims.

A fight carried by the association Femmes avec… whose president, Muriel Réus, is also administrator of the association of insured AGIPI.

AGIPI has provided support to FEMMES with… to come to the aid of victims by providing them with a clear response, designed to support them and improve their daily lives and their safety: the establishment of a specific guarantee against domestic violence.

Concrete actions to take care of the victims

This is a first in France: to come to the aid of victims, AGIPI has integrated a domestic violence guarantee in its CAP insurance contract. This contract, designed to protect against the vagaries of life, is there to provide additional income in the event of incapacity for work, disability, and to provide capital for the family in the event of death. Concretely, the domestic violence cover includes the establishment of a dedicated number, open to AGIPI members 24 hours a day, seven days a week: 01 55 92 24 58.

This guarantee also gives access to psychological support in order to promote discussion, listening and individualized support: so many essential keys to helping victims.

At the same time, to support them at each stage, they can benefit from legal protection covering up to 15,000 euros in legal fees, and specific support for the most dramatic cases that lead to ITT ( total temporary incapacity).

The clause concerning domestic violence will be automatically included in all CAP contracts from January 2022.

Domestic violence, to put an end to these evils

Because domestic violence is not inevitable and should no longer be trivialized, Femmes avec… and AGIPI have co-produced "Domestic violence, to put an end to these evils", a documentary to watch on agipi.com, femmesavec.org and YouTube.
