Codeshare agreement between Emirates Airlines and Baltic Airlines

The new partnership gives Emirates customers easy access to the Baltic Sea region.

Emirates Airlines has signed a codeshare partnership agreement with AirBaltic to provide seamless travel to and from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Finland.

The carrier said in a statement yesterday that the agreement provides new opportunities and allows Emirates customers to easily access the Baltic Sea region, and customers of the Baltic carrier will enjoy seamless connectivity with Emirates' global network via Dubai.

Emirates Airlines CEO, Adnan Kazim, said: “We look forward to a successful start to this partnership, which will allow us to provide more travel and connectivity options to (Emirates Airlines) customers in the Baltic region, and will open up (Emirates Airlines) wide network of destinations. In front of more travelers from the Baltic countries.”

He added that "the codeshare agreement provides (Emirates Airlines) customers in the main markets, especially in the Middle East, West Asia, the Far East and Australia, easy access and seamless connection with the Baltic countries."

For his part, Baltic Airlines President and CEO, Martin Gauss, said, "(Emirates Airlines) is a major link between the countries of the world, and we are excited to start a new partnership to be added to the direct flights between Riga and Dubai that we started last September."
