China News Service, Beijing, November 25 (Niu Qingqing) On November 25, Beijing officially opened the country's first pilot commercialization of autonomous driving services and announced supporting management policies.

This marks a new stage in the domestic autonomous driving field from testing and demonstration to commercial pilot exploration.

The Beijing High-level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone Work Office announced the above content in today's Yizhuang Innovation Release Event, and released the "Implementation Rules for the Pilot Management of the Commercialization of Autonomous Driving Services in the Pilot Zone of Beijing's Intelligent Connected Vehicles Policy (Trial)."

The first batch of commercialization pilots approved by two companies

Baidu and Xiaoma Zhixing became the first batch of enterprises to be allowed to carry out commercialization pilot services. At this stage, they will invest no more than 100 autonomous vehicles in the 60 square kilometers area of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone (also known as Beijing Yizhuang) to carry out commercialization pilots. service.

According to this management policy, under the premise of ensuring the principle of fair market competition, enterprises can adopt a market-based pricing mechanism; the experience charging service can only be opened on the premise of clearing the principle of charging and payment methods to passengers.

Up to now, the accumulated safety test mileage of Beijing's autonomous driving is close to 3 million kilometers.

The commercialization pilot is the final link in the implementation of autonomous driving application scenarios, and thus forms a closed loop of the industry.

In this regard, the relevant person in charge of the Beijing Self-driving Office said that autonomous driving is the key direction of Beijing's high-precision industry, and the development process is leading the country.

In April of this year, relying on Beijing's high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone, the country's first intelligent networked vehicle policy pilot zone was established, and it was the first in the country to issue policies for unmanned delivery vehicles on the road, highway testing, and unmanned testing.

Safety and control is the first principle

Strengthening service supervision and management of violations, and building a continuous and iterable commercial pilot service management system is one of the highlights of this management policy.

In the Beijing Intelligent Connected Vehicle Policy Pilot Zone, companies are strictly required to establish new management mechanisms for services, customer complaints, and pricing under the premise of market-oriented fair competition, to create a good commercialization pilot environment; to supervise the daily operation of the company , According to the needs of supervision, comprehensive supervision of the business operation, service quality, platform and network operation, and vehicle driving of the enterprise.

Safety and control is the most important basic principle for carrying out commercialization pilot activities.

The management policy requires that applicants fully comply with and implement relevant national laws and regulations, strengthen the security protection of personal information and network data, and clarify the passenger personal information, APP log information, geographic information, cars and systems collected during the commercialization pilot Data, traffic flow data, and generated business data, etc., shall be stored and used in China, and shall not be taken out of the country without approval.

At the same time, enterprises are required to establish a complete network security protection system, conduct continuous and effective network security management on Internet service platforms, and effectively respond to network security incidents.

In the next step, Beijing Yizhuang will take safety and control as the first principle, and on the basis of complementation, mutual benefit and win-win with the traditional travel service system, gradually expand the commercialization pilot section or area in a timely manner, and coordinate the promotion of commercialization in stages. Operation, supporting enterprises to gradually transition from unmanned road testing to unmanned commercialization pilots, and bringing the public an upgrade of autonomous driving travel service experience.
