The Bank of Korea held the Monetary Policy Committee meeting today (25th) to determine the base rate for this month.

It is predicted that the base rate will be raised by 0.25 percentage points, which is currently 0.75%.

If the MPC decides to raise the interest rate, the base rate will rise to 1.00%, ending the era of zero interest rates.

Although the base rate is expected to rise due to the recent increase in inflation, there are also concerns that the interest burden on borrowers may increase.
