Jiangsu Development Bank's China-Europe Express trains increased by nearly 20% year-on-year (achievements of the “Belt and Road” construction)

In October, the first special train of the China-Europe Railway Express in the Yangtze River Delta Ecological and Green Integration Development Demonstration Zone, carrying 100 TEUs of cargo departed from the Jiangsu (Suzhou) International Railway Logistics Center, exited Erenhot, Inner Mongolia, and finally arrived in Malašević, Poland.

This special train has a total of 50 sessions, carrying the LCD modules exported to Europe by Canyu Optoelectronics from Suzhou Wujiang Economic Development Zone, with a value of nearly 8 million US dollars.

Wang Yanlin, general manager of Canyu Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., introduced that the shortest time for transportation by China-Europe Express can be reduced to 20 days, which is half the cost of shipping.

In Jiangsu, a major foreign trade province, the number of China-Europe express trains has always been among the top in the country. At present, the province's cumulative number of trains has exceeded 17,000. It is playing an increasingly important role in building new international logistics channels and promoting bilateral trade between Jiangsu and Europe. The role of.

At present, Lianyungang, Suzhou, Nanjing, Xuzhou and Nantong have opened a total of 20 China-Europe (Asia) train lines, covering more than 20 cities in 17 European countries, nearly 50 cities in 5 Central Asian countries, and 3 cities in Southeast Asia. "Lianxinya", "Sumanou" and other brand lines have been established.

In accordance with the general idea of “creating characteristics, categorizing, consolidating Central Europe and Central Asia, and expanding Southeast Asia”, local trains focus on distinctive, differentiated, and dislocation development.

Nanjing combined with the use of the Longtan Port railway special line to create a Russian boutique route; Xuzhou combined with the construction of the Huaihai International Dry Port, actively created a meeting point for China-Europe freight trains, and gradually planned the "hub-to-hub" line; Suzhou developed a free trade zone and cross-border power Commercial and postal trains; Lianyungang focuses on the development of two-way transit trains in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Mongolia, and plays a good role in the demonstration and benchmarking of the land-sea intermodal transport channel of the new Eurasian Continental Bridge; Nantong uses Haian as a base to develop ASEAN routes To expand coverage in Southeast Asia.

In addition to continuously improving coverage, Jiangsu China-Europe Express has also continued to innovate in its operating model.

The zero-waiting mode of “car (station) ship direct pickup” initiated by the Lianyungang area of Jiangsu Pilot Free Trade Zone for international freight trains has been promoted to ports across the country.

According to the previous international train operation mode, the various processes of transit containers are connected in series after the ship arrives at the port. The procedures are cumbersome and time-consuming. It takes nearly 4 days on average from the arrival of the container to the loading and dispatch of the container.

Now, the ship starts the declaration process when it enters the anchorage. After arriving at the port, it is directly unloaded and diverted to the China-Kazakhstan logistics base to load trains and send overseas. The various procedures have been changed from "series" to "parallel". In this way, the shipping time of the transit container train is compressed to less than one day, the transfer operation time is reduced by 75% compared with the previous, and the customer's single container transfer cost is reduced by 60% compared with the previous one.

The data shows that from January to October this year, Jiangsu China-Europe trains have opened 1,452 trains, a year-on-year increase of 18.9%.

Among them, 948 lines were opened for the outbound journey, a year-on-year increase of 10.75%; 504 lines were opened for the return journey, a year-on-year increase of 38.05%.

The Jiangsu China-Europe Express train has exceeded the number of lines opened for the whole year of last year 70 days ahead of schedule, and the number of lines opened will hit a record high.

The proportion of return trips continued to increase, from 20.86% in the first half of the year to 34.71%, maintaining a balanced return and improving both quantity and quality, effectively reducing the operating costs of trains.
