It was during an automobile competition in Japan that Toyota, Subaru, Mazda, Yamaha and Kawasaki announced they had formed a new alliance.

With what objective?

That of finding alternative solutions to electricity for carbon neutrality.

Their roadmap is based on 3 points: participating in races using “e-fuels”, carbon-neutral fuels;

continue to explore hydrogen technology, especially for motorcycles;

continue the competition thanks to hydrogen.

For 2022, concrete plans have already been put in place and more recently, a Mazda 3 has evolved in competition with a latest generation biodiesel fuel engine.

Let us add further that Ducati and Porsche have announced in recent months that they are also working on synthetic fuel (e-fuel).

So we repeat: to achieve carbon neutrality, the future will not necessarily be 100% electric.
