“The decision of BNetzA directly states that the economic interests of Naftogaz in the future may be significantly violated, and therefore, the recognition of this fact by the German regulator increases the company's chances of filing an appeal with the German court against the decision on certification of the Nord Stream 2 operator, if such will happen, "the message says.

It is noted that the participation of Naftogaz in the certification process of the Nord Stream 2 operator increases the chances of “preventing the launch of the gas pipeline”.

Earlier, German Ambassador to Moscow Geza Andreas von Gayr supported Ukraine's participation in the certification of Nord Stream 2.

However, he stressed that Kiev does not have a veto right.

The Federal Republic of Germany confirmed that the Ukrainian Naftogaz and the Ukrainian GTS Operator were admitted to the certification process for the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

Enterprises will have procedural rights.
