The millions of euros were voted in the National Assembly, but their use is still debated.

In Marseille, for several weeks, the town hall, led by the socialist Benoît Payan, and the metropolis, led by Martine Vassal (LR), have been shying away from the use of the presidential manna granted by Emmanuel Macron to develop public transport in the second largest city in France.

As a reminder, the President of the Republic had announced the creation of four new tram lines.

A few weeks after his arrival, the president of the RTM, Catherine PIla, told

20 Minutes

that the first section that would emerge from the ground in 2025 would link Castellane to La Gaye, in the southern districts.

Another tramway would see the light of day between Rome and Place du 4 Septembre, in the city center, in 2026. A third section would also serve the southern districts in 2028, in the direction of La Rouvière.

The tram to the Belle de Mai, it would not see the light of day before 2030. A schedule that does not convince the left coalition at the head of the city of France, which demands that this site be prioritized.

And for you, in which sectors should priority be given to developing public transport in Marseille?

Should we prioritize a tram towards the Catalans beach, towards the southern districts or the northern districts?

Are there other projects than those currently mentioned that you find more useful?
