Honda, which has been reducing car production due to a global shortage of semiconductors, is expected to return to normal operation at its domestic plant in early next month for the first time in about a year.

Honda has announced that three of its domestic plants in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Yorii Town, Saitama Prefecture and Sayama City are expected to return to normal operation early next month.

At these factories, the supply of parts has been stagnant due to the effects of global semiconductor shortages, and production has been reduced from the beginning, but as semiconductor shortages are being resolved, it is the first time in about a year. Production will be normalized.

Domestic automakers are gradually recovering production, with Toyota revealing that domestic plant operations will return to normal for the first time in seven months next month.

However, some manufacturers are expected to continue to reduce production, and the speed of normalization of production is uneven.
