While the Dubai Airshow closes its doors this Thursday evening, Airbus has already taken stock of its harvest of orders made during these four days.
On the occasion of this first major meeting in the sector since the health crisis, the European aircraft manufacturer is posting 269 firm orders and 139 purchase intentions which will have to be confirmed by the companies.

From the opening of the show, Airbus set the tone by announcing a firm order for 255 aircraft of the A321neo family by four low cost airlines.
The next day, Air Lease Corporation signed a commitment for 111 planes, of all kinds, including the “Freighter” cargo version of the A350, the first deliveries of which should be made in 2025. A segment in which Boeing is today leader.
Boeing far behind
But at the end of this first post-crisis airshow, Airbus seems above all to have groomed the pawn of its American competitor who had struggled to see its order book take off before recording Tuesday in a significant 72 737 MAX aircraft by a newly created Indian company.
Over the next 20 years, the Airbus company has announced that it expects a market of 39,000 new aircraft purchased by the companies, part of which is part of the renewal of fleets.
