Linjawi said that landing permits for commercial and private planes and unscheduled air cargo, in turn, recorded a growth of 15%, while the growth rate of no-objection certificates for transporting dangerous materials reached 43%.

He said that the permits for building heights amounted to 61 permits during the past year, compared to 43 during the period between January and October 2021, while the number of permits for tower cranes reached 347 permits in 2020, compared to 208 permits during the first ten months of this year.

The Executive Director of the Aviation Security and Accident Investigation Sector at the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Muhammad Abdullah Linjawi, explained that the sector exercises the following tasks through its organizational units, and in cooperation with the competent federal and local authorities, which include developing policies related to aviation security, and the transport of dangerous materials through In addition to issuing the necessary approvals, in terms of civil aviation security requirements in the Emirate of Dubai, in coordination with the relevant regulatory unit for the purposes of permitting foreign air operators licensed by the General Authority Civil Aviation, by operating regular or non-scheduled flights to the emirate’s airports, as well as supervising and approving security and safety procedures for facilities and regulations at Dubai airports, in coordination with the aviation safety and environment sector.
