Earlier, the German regulator suspended the certification of Nord Stream 2 AG as an independent operator of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

In early November, Bloomberg reported that Russia may need several more months to launch the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

The construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline was completed on 10 September.

The first line was filled with technical gas.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, commenting on the process of obtaining permission to launch the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, noted that under German law this could take four months.

As the newspaper writes, we are talking about the date of January 8, 2022.

After that, the documents will be studied at the EC for two months.

The commissioning of Nord Stream 2 may be delayed until May 8, since the European Commission has the right to extend the consideration for another two months.

The Kremlin called the certification process for Nord Stream 2 quite difficult.
