According to trade statistics released by the Ministry of Finance, exports last month increased by 9.4% from the same month last year, rising for the eighth straight month.

On the other hand, imports increased by 26.7% compared to the same month last year due to the rise in crude oil prices.

As a result, last month's trade balance, which is the deduction of imports from exports, was a deficit of 67.4 billion yen, the third consecutive month of trade deficit.
