The department said in a circular issued today that the extension comes based on directives from the Executive Office of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to support the tourism sector in recovering from the economic effects of the Corona pandemic, and to further stimulate the investment environment in the emirate.

The department also decided, in another circular, to extend the exemption of event organizers from the tourism fee of 10% on tickets sold until the end of this year.

She explained that if the event organizers pay these fees to the department, the department will return them to them, provided that there are no late dues on them before July 1, 2021.
