The State Post Bureau of China: The volume of express parcels on the day of "Double 11" reached a record high of 696 million

China News Service, Beijing, November 12 (Reporter Liu Yuying) Monitoring data from the State Post Bureau of China shows that from November 1 to 11, the national postal and express companies handled a total of 4.776 billion express mails, an increase of more than 20% year-on-year.

Among them, a total of 696 million shipments were processed on November 11, a steady rise and a new record high.

The peak season for express delivery this year is from early November to the eve of the Spring Festival (February 1) in 2022, a total of 92 days.

This year’s e-commerce platform promotion mode and rhythm have changed. The peak of promotion has changed from the “single peak” (November 11) of previous years to the “Double peak” (November 1 and November 11) of this year. During the promotion period, the express delivery business volume had a certain degree of diversion. The business volume growth rate on the day of "Double 11" was not obvious, but the business volume growth from the 1st to the 11th was still more than 20%.

In response to the peak season, the postal express industry has expanded and upgraded its venues, vehicles, sorting equipment, information systems, etc. The carrying capacity and operating efficiency of the industry have been greatly improved, and personnel have been reserved and trained to meet the needs of the public. Needed by post.

The State Post Bureau requires the entire industry to implement zoning and hierarchical prevention and control, strengthen personnel health protection, do a good job in vaccination, strictly prevent the import of overseas epidemics, and properly respond to epidemic rebounds.

Since November 6, rain and snow have appeared in many parts of China, and snow has appeared in some areas, which may affect the time limit of express shipments.

For this reason, the State Post Bureau issued a service consumption reminder for the express business during the peak season. During the peak period, the majority of couriers have heavy workload and delivery pressure. In addition, the cold weather makes the couriers work hard outdoors. We urge users to be more tolerant and understanding of the couriers.
