Mark Austin, General Manager of Audi Abu Dhabi, and spokesperson for Ali & Sons Company, expected that the demand for electric cars in the UAE and global markets will continue to grow in the coming years, with the various brands remaining focused on this type of cars.

Austin said in an exclusive interview with "Emirates Today" that from 2026, all Audi cars that will be launched in global markets will be fully electric, and the company aims by 2025 to have more than 20 electric models in its model range.

Austin confirmed that the two new electric cars from Audi launched this year, the e-tron and the RS e-tron, have raised interest in the e-tron range and increased demand across the entire lineup.

He said: The RS e-tron GT is the first high-performance electric sports car from Audi, which can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, thanks to a 646-horsepower engine, in boost mode.

These advanced models are already starting to change the electric car landscape, which is very exciting for us.

The General Manager of Audi Abu Dhabi revealed the most prominent cars that Audi intends to launch in Abu Dhabi in the near future, and said: The all-new Audi Q5 hybrid sports car will arrive in the future very soon, with advanced technical features and for the first time in a sports coupe design.

We will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the UAE with 50 limited editions of the RS 6, RS 7 and RS Q8 models.

25 of these limited editions will arrive this month.

“In early 2022, we are looking forward to launching the all-new RS 3 sedan and sportback. In terms of electric vehicles, we have just launched the e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT and we are expecting the new high-performance e-tron S sportback and SUV models.”

He also confirmed that his company has dedicated special care to its electric cars by offering a 5-year service package, unlimited mileage warranty for up to 5 years, round-the-clock roadside assistance for 5 years, and an 8-year warranty on the battery.

We are also offering customers a free home charger and installation, noting that electric cars have lower total service costs than a petrol engine car.
