On the morning of the 11th, KT's wired and wireless Internet service was disrupted in Guro-gu and Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.



Wireless services connected to fiber and some corporate services were affected for about two hours, but the exact extent of the damage was not known.



KT cited optical cable cutting damage as the cause of this failure during tree work along the road in Seoul around 10:23 am today.



A KT official explained, "The 105 station base stations in Yeongdeungpo and Guro areas were affected, and as of 1:15 pm, 90% of the stations, or 95 stations, were repaired, and services were normalized."



The Ministry of Science and ICT (Ministry of Science and ICT), the competent ministry, issued an information communication accident crisis warning 'Caution' after identifying the accident, and 'Today, KT's base station failure may cause wireless communication failures in Yeongdeungpo-gu and Guro-gu areas.
