During his address to the French on Tuesday evening, the Head of State estimated that the pension reform dossier, abandoned in early 2020 with the outbreak of the crisis, would not be reopened before spring.

This echoes what he sketched out last July, when he last spoke on television.

The conditions "are not met to relaunch" the site of the pension reform, judged Tuesday Emmanuel Macron during his address to the French, while estimating that it would be necessary "to take clear decisions" from 2022. These decisions, which "will legitimately be the subject of debate", will imply in particular "to work longer, by pushing back the legal age" and to abolish the special regimes, he added.
