<Anchor> The

lack of the number of elements has a major impact on our industry as a whole and essential public areas. The logistics industry, the construction industry that uses diesel equipment, as well as agriculture can be hit hard. Essential public sectors such as ambulances, fire engines and route buses are no exception.

Therefore, there has been an increase in the movement to import urea water from countries other than China, and the number of inquiries to inspection agencies is overflowing. The government has also decided to shorten the period of inspection as much as possible.

Reporter Jeong Da-eun covered it.

<Reporter> As

imports from China, which account for 90% of domestic industrial urea imports, have virtually stopped, domestic traders are attempting to import urea water from countries other than China, including Southeast Asia.

In order to import urea water, it must be inspected for proper urea content in two places, including the Korea National Oil Management Institute, but inquiries have increased significantly after the shortage.

[Korea National Oil Management Agency official: In the last few days, more than ten companies have pre-registered. We usually have about ten cases a year. I get about 200 inquiries a day, so I call.]

Mr. A, who runs a chemical export company, tried to import urea water from Southeast Asia, but he ran into difficulties.

[Mr. A / Chemical exporter operation: (Imported urea number) I am asked to provide a flow chart for the production process. I need to get a process flow chart from a local company, but cooperation is not easy.]

After submitting the documents and samples to the testing agency, it may take up to 20 days for the results to be available.

To shorten the customs clearance process, the government has announced that it will increase the number of inspection agencies and reduce the inspection period to three to five days.

Apart from the government's response, truck drivers have come up with self-help measures.

[Jung Moon-soo / truck driver: I was in a hurry this time, so I opened 8 bottles of water and put it in.

The car has to drive.

We are pushing for about 1,000 or 2,000 of direct imports from Japan, right now.] In the

market, trucks have already stopped

, driving to the

brink of a catastrophe.

Additional measures are needed to supply the required quantity in the shortest possible time.
