From January to October 2021, the number of vacancies with a remote work schedule in Russia increased almost three times (by 189%) compared to the same period in 2020 and amounted to 420 thousand in total. Representatives of the hh.ru service told RT about this.

“In the fall, with the beginning of a new wave of the pandemic, plans to return to office work proved to be premature, and there were even more vacancies with permanent retirement.

If in September their number stood at 43 thousand, then in October the figure increased to 90 thousand, ”said Maria Ignatova, head of the company's research department.

A similar dynamics is recorded by the specialists of the Rabota.ru service.

As the director of human resources and organizational development of the company, Yulia Sanina, told RT, over the past year, the share of vacancies with remote employment in Russia has more than doubled.

According to service surveys, today 38% of companies in the country have employees working remotely.

At the same time, only 18% of employers plan to fully return teams to the office immediately after the quarantine restrictions are relaxed.

“Moreover, today 43% of employers believe that the opportunity to work remotely can become an additional motivation for an employee,” added Yulia Sanina.

As Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said earlier, about 3 million Russians are currently working remotely - 5% of the total number of workers in the country.

According to the service "Avito Rabota", most often employers attract young professionals for permanent remote employment.

“Most vacancies with a remote work schedule are placed in the group of professions“ No experience, students ”.

From January to October this year, the number of offers in this segment increased by 170% compared to the same period in 2020.

In second place is the IT sector (+ 117%), and in third place is education (+ 70%), "Artyom Kumpel, managing director of Avito Rabota, told RT.

Expansion of the staff at the expense of remote workers allows companies to save on production costs, says Sergey Sukhostavets, director of business development at Rocket Work.

According to him, remote employees are often much cheaper for businesses, since in this case, the costs of organizing jobs and maintaining office premises are reduced.

“At the same time, companies that quickly went to work remotely - fintech, education, social networks, streaming, online retail - only grew during the period of self-isolation, as consumers also switched to a remote format of interaction.

In turn, business growth is supported by the expansion of the staff, ”the specialist said in a conversation with RT.

According to hh.ru, in the fall of 2021, the number of resumes of Russians who consider only remote employment reached 1.2 million - three times more than at the beginning of the pandemic.

At the same time, according to a study by Rabota.ru analysts, among Russians already working remotely, 41% of respondents are completely satisfied with this form of employment, and another 29% would like to come to the office only a few times a week.

It is noteworthy that due to remote work, qualified employees in small towns can receive a salary similar to what was previously available only in megacities.

Pavel Sigal, the first vice president of the all-Russian public organization for small and medium-sized businesses "Support of Russia", told RT in an interview with RT.

“In this situation, workers are seriously saving on renting housing, which is much cheaper outside the capital.

They also do not have to spend several hours on the way to the office, as a result of which people get more time for themselves, ”said Sigal.

Recall that on January 1, 2021, a law regulating telecommuting came into force in Russia.

According to the document, the fulfillment of his duties by an employee remotely can occur on an ongoing basis (during the entire duration of the employment contract) or temporarily, that is, continuously for up to six months.

The law also provides for the alternation of retirement and employment at a stationary workplace.

The initiative allows to protect the rights of both parties to the employment contract and helps to understand the intricacies of the new form of employment, says Sergei Sukhostavets.

According to him, the employee also has the opportunity to organize the day at his own discretion, and the employer can concentrate on the quality of the tasks assigned.

“The law adds guarantees to all parties to the agreement.

For example, it obliges the employer to interact with the employee only during his working hours, which protects people from overwork.

At the same time, the employer is relieved of responsibility for the safety of an employee at a distance, ”added the specialist.
