Syria: Kuwaiti YouTuber Raises $ 1 Million For Refugees

A Somali YouTuber living in Kuwait has just raised a million dollars in a few days to help refugees and displaced Syrians living in the Middle East.

His video made the rounds on social networks.

Headphones on his ears screaming into his microphone, the young AboFlah cannot believe it.

The counter displays almost one million dollars (865,000 euros).

And when the number is exceeded, he starts to cry. 

Hassan Souleïmane, whose real name is, is a 23-year-old Somali living in Kuwait.

He is one of the most prominent YouTubers in the Arab world.

He launched his channel dedicated to video games 5 years ago and now has more than 20 million subscribers.

It was to them that he addressed a few days ago, asking them to participate in this donation campaign, in coordination with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), to help refugees and displaced Syrians as winter approaches.

The funds should be used to help 5,700 families, or more than 17,000 people, by providing them with food, shelter, medicine and fuel for heating.

Over 31,000 donations have been registered.

It has been over 10 years since the war in Syria began.

Millions of people are now refugees in

Lebanon

, Iraq and Jordan, or displaced in their own country, where they lack everything.
