She added that the procedure, which began in September, can take up to four months.

Earlier, the German Ministry of Economy stated that certification of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline would not pose a threat to gas supplies to Germany.

The Bundestag spoke in favor of the earliest possible commissioning of the pipeline due to the high demand for gas.

The first line of the pipeline was filled with technical gas in mid-October, the volume of which amounted to about 177 million cubic meters.
