The Eastern Committee of the Federal Republic of Germany spoke about the situation with Nord Stream 2

“With the accelerated transition from coal to natural gas, significant potential for reducing CO₂ emissions can be realized in the coming years.

In this regard, it would be completely counterproductive for political reasons to slow down the most modern infrastructure projects, such as Nord Stream 2, - said the head of the committee.

Earlier, the head of the Austrian company-investor OMV Alfred Stern said that the second string of Nord Stream 2 will be filled with gas by the end of 2021.
