From January to September, 40 cities have started construction of 720,000 sets of affordable rental housing, accounting for 76.9% of the annual plan, and completed an investment of 77.5 billion yuan.

Among them, six cities including Nanjing, Wuxi, Ningbo, Foshan, Changchun and Nanning have completed their annual plans.

  Guaranteed rental housing adheres to the small size and low rent, and speeding up its development will help new citizens, young people and other groups alleviate housing difficulties.

Since the beginning of this year, various localities have accelerated the development of affordable rental housing, and a batch of reproducible and extendable experiences have been formed.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, large cities with net population inflows have adopted various methods such as new construction, reconstruction, renovation, rental subsidies, and use of government idle housing as affordable rental housing to increase supply. .

Among them, the newly-increased affordable rental housing in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen during the 14th Five-Year Plan period were 470,000 units (rooms), 600,000 units (rooms), and 400,000 units (rooms), which accounted for the new housing supply. About 45% of the total.

  At the same time, all localities make full use of land support policies to guide village collective economic organizations, enterprises and institutions, park enterprises, housing leasing companies, real estate development companies, etc. to actively develop affordable rental housing; and it is clear that affordable rental housing is mainly for non-household housing For new citizens and young people, there is no income threshold, and small apartments below 70 square meters are mainly used.   The “Notice on Doing a Good Job in Monitoring and Evaluation of the Development of Affordable Rental Housing in 2021” issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in conjunction with relevant departments recently stated that the development of affordable rental housing in 2021 focuses on determining development goals, implementing supporting policies, and establishing Monitoring and evaluation were carried out in five aspects, including working mechanism, strict supervision and management, and achievement of work results, and the specific content and scoring standards were clarified.
