China News Service, Beijing, November 3 (Zhou Ruimei Yunqiu) Qin Yuyun, Director of the Grain Reserve Department of the State Administration of Grain and Material Reserves of China, revealed on the 3rd that China’s autumn grain harvest is nearing completion, and the annual harvest is a foregone conclusion, and production will be maintained for 7 consecutive years. Above 1.3 trillion catties, this has laid a solid material foundation for the domestic grain market supply.

Qin Yuyun pointed out that at present, China's grain stocks also maintain a relatively high level.

The total inventory is sufficient, at a historical high.

In particular, the two major rations of wheat and rice accounted for more than 70% of the total inventory.

Taking wheat as an example, under the situation of successive bumper harvests, stocks have continued to increase, and it can currently meet the consumption demand for one and a half years, ensuring that "grain is basically self-sufficient and rations are absolutely safe."

He emphasized that China's society has a richer level of grain storage and a more balanced inventory structure.

There are not only central and local government reserves, minimum purchase price grain and other policy inventory, but also a large-scale enterprise commodity inventory, and many urban and rural residents have stored grain.

Among them, the government reserves cover major grain varieties such as wheat, rice, corn and soybeans.

Qin Yuyun said that in recent years, the scale of central reserves has increased steadily, the structure and layout have been continuously optimized, and the ability to keep the bottom line and stabilize expectations has been continuously strengthened; the scale of local reserves has increased, the proportion of rations has remained at a high level, and the level of guaranteed reserves of finished grains such as rice and noodles has continued. improve.

At the same time, corporate commodity inventories have increased considerably, and both wheat and rice commodity inventories have increased by more than 50% year-on-year, which has effectively enhanced the corporate risk prevention capabilities.

Qin Yuyun said that China’s grain and oil processing capacity is very strong. It can process 1.5 million tons of rice and 800,000 tons of wheat every day. It's enough for people all over the country to eat for 2 days.

In addition, China's emergency protection capabilities have also been significantly enhanced, with more than 5,500 grain emergency processing companies, 36 large and medium-sized cities and fluctuating markets, all of which have guaranteed inventory of finished grain and oil for more than 20 days.

In the international market, according to the forecasts of relevant international organizations, global grain production remained high, with 780 million tons of wheat, 1.2 billion tons of corn, 510 million tons of rice, and 380 million tons of soybeans, all of which increased from the previous year.

Qin Yuyun emphasized that the prices of corn and soybeans in the international market have fallen by more than 25% from their highs in the year, creating good conditions for making full use of both domestic and international markets and resources.
