The Berlin fintech Moonfare, which it claims to be the leading digital private equity investment platform, has received extensive financing from a leading American technology investor.

Insight Partners, which specializes in software companies in the growth phase and has already invested more than 30 billion dollars in more than 400 companies through its funds, will support Moonfare in a so-called Series C financing with 125 million dollars.

Series C financing is usually given to young companies that are already quite successful and need additional funding to finance the development of new products, expansion into additional markets or acquisitions.

Moonfare offers wealthy private investors access to selected private equity funds. According to the company, only 5 percent of the funds available pass the company's review and are then offered on the platform. So far, shares in 42 funds have been brokered to 1,800 customers. In the current year alone, the assets managed in this way have doubled to one billion euros. In March of this year, a group of investors led by Fidelity had bought into Moonfare. The company intends to use the financing proceeds to develop new investment solutions and accelerate its internationalization.

The offer is unmatched, the platform offers a seamless user experience and is easily scalable.

We are very happy about the additional funds, says Moonfare founder and board member Steffen Pauls.
