How to renew an icon marketed since the 1950s?
This is the question that the leaders of Mercedes asked themselves when working on the development of a new generation of the SL.
In the end, the formula evolved since they offered themselves the services of AMG from the start, to develop a car that was much sportier than before, but still just as luxurious.

Under its long hood, we find the AMG V8 biturbo with 4 liters of displacement, which develops 476 hp and 700 Nm in the SL 55, or 585 hp and 800 Nm in the SL 63. For the first time in its long career, the SL receives a 4Matic + all-wheel drive which distributes the torque between the two axles.
Finally, the car receives a directional rear axle for a more incisive behavior.
