“It is impossible to exist for a long time in such a volatile gas market, winter will probably be hard,” RIA Novosti quoted Mikhelson as saying.

He ruled out the possibility of gas prices reaching the 2019 level. 

“Since the second quarter, the market will still stabilize, having dropped sharply, but we will probably not return to the prices that were in 2019,” Mikhelson explained.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin asked Gazprom to increase the volume of gas in European underground storage facilities after filling Russian UGS facilities.
