American manufacturers have always liked excessiveness, like Chevrolet, which has just presented a new “crate engine”.
It is an engine sold in a crate, which can be mounted in any vehicle intended for drag racing.
Called ZZ632 / 1000, this petrol V8 has a displacement of 10.3 liters, and develops 1,004 hp and 1,188 Nm. All without supercharging!
Made mostly of forged steel and cast iron, it is both robust and explosive.
Chevrolet has announced that its marketing will begin next year.
Its price has not been communicated.
