Prime Minister Jean Castex announced Thursday the payment of compensation of 100 euros for 38 million French people, in order to respond to concerns caused in particular by the rise in fuel prices.

In Bordeaux, the French met by Europe 1 rather approve of this measure.

REPORTING

Will the measure be enough to reassure the French concerned? On Thursday, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced the payment of compensation of 100 euros for 38 million French people, to respond to concerns caused by the rise in fuel prices, and more generally to fears of a decline in the power of purchase. All French people earning less than 2,000 euros net per month, whether they have a car or not, will thus be able to benefit from this "middle class allowance". But what do those concerned think? Europe 1 went to a service station in Bordeaux to collect initial reactions.

Yara, who is refueling, learns the good news.

“I didn't know, but I'm very happy,” she says.

100 euros is not nothing for Laurence, who works at the hospital.

"I refueled at 70 euros ... I pay close attention to everything. I am not entitled to help with heating, so I heat myself very little in winter."

And to warn: "I will not squander this money. It will not be used to spend for somewhat futile pleasures."

"It's still powder in the eyes"

Currently looking for a job, Laurent is concerned by the measure.

For him, "it's always good to take, but it's still window dressing".

In the meantime, he's still going to "put gas in the car".

If he is not concerned, another Bordelais, owner of a Mercedes, welcomes the measure, rejoicing for his future beneficiaries.

"I am a general practitioner, I earn a good living, but of course it has to be done."

This aid, Michelle, retired, may use it for anything else, especially if the payment comes in December.

"It's a little help. We'll see," she said ... And why not for gifts.
