For many people, "October" is a rare holiday, you can rest, travel or hold a wedding.

For wedding people, this holiday is exactly the peak season for work.

The "four kings" of weddings-photographers, videographers, hosts, and makeup artists will be busy from the early morning during this period, applying makeup to 5 brides a day, and follow up for 15 hours, etc., and the income is several times the usual .

They are busy sweetly during the "Eleventh" peak season.

"'October' holiday, how many weddings did you attend?" This is a topic that many people will talk about when they meet after the holiday.

"Participating in the wedding" was previously ridiculed as "the reason for asking for leave for the National Unity National Day", and it was popularly searched on major online platforms.

The National Day holiday is the traditional peak season for weddings.

A couple who wants to hold a wedding cannot do without the services of many wedding people.

Wedding people usually refer to the "four kings" of the wedding-photographers, videographers, hosts, and makeup artists. Many of them come from the countryside and are on the road for a beautiful wedding.

Get up at 2 in the morning and put makeup on 5 brides a day

On October 1, at this wedding in Yu County, Hebei Province, makeup artist Lan Lantian began to apply makeup to the bride before she turned up.

I saw that she opened her professional cosmetic bag skillfully, and she had dozens of choices for lipstick color alone.

After she tried several color combinations, the bride finally chose her favorite color combination for decoration.

Then she took out the curling iron and made the hairstyle for the bride.

The whole process took more than 1 hour.

Lan Lan told reporters that during the "November" period, she woke up at 2 in the morning every day.

Put on your own makeup quickly, then eat a bite of breakfast, and then rush to the bride's side by pulling the makeup case.

In many parts of the country, weddings start from the morning reception.

The bride’s makeup styling usually takes an hour or two, and the mothers of the two couples also need to do a simple makeup and hair.

After finishing the intense makeup work in the morning, Lan Lan will follow the bride's footsteps with makeup equipment.

"Sometimes brides cry emotionally and they need to make up for them at any time." Lan Lan said that many brides would change into multiple outfits on the wedding day, such as Chinese dresses, gowns, wedding gowns, wedding dresses, etc. She also needed Re-make matching styles for them.

During the "November" holiday, Lanlan took three or four orders every day on average. On the most day, she put on makeup for five brides. It's 5 o'clock in the morning, I'll have time to stagger the time."

Although only 33 years old, Lan Lan is already an "old" makeup artist with 17 years of experience.

She went to work in Beijing before graduating from middle school. She briefly worked as a food factory worker, bus conductor, clothing store shopping guide... But she didn't like these jobs, and then she studied makeup in Beijing for a year.

"I didn't dare to go out and put makeup on the bride after I had learned it well. On such an important occasion, I was especially afraid that I would leave the couple with regrets if I didn't make up properly!" Lan Lan said.

It wasn't until she followed her teacher to do bridal makeup and makeup in Beijing for a period of time that she became bold.

Later, she returned to her hometown of Yu County and became a wedding makeup artist for 17 years.

Shooting for 15 hours a day, my income in October is several times higher than usual

"Basically, I take 15 hours of shooting every day, and I can only sleep for four or five hours." The work of the cameraman Miao Cao during the "11th" period also began in the early morning.

On October 3, he was going to shoot a wedding in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou.

He and his colleagues drove for nearly an hour. It was still dark, and they arrived at the groom's house.

Going out to pick up relatives, playing games, toasting tea to both parents, welcoming guests, holding wedding ceremonies, toasting... Miao Cao knows a lot about a series of wedding procedures, and each of these procedures is what he needs to photograph.

"We mainly shoot newcomers, with other guests. We mainly focus on documentary, and occasionally there are also poses." He said.

Miao Cao, born in Anhui, was born in the 90s. After graduation, he went to Hangzhou to work hard. After a few years in the workplace, he gradually became a professional videographer.

He now has a small studio with a few friends, which specializes in shooting videos for various events such as weddings and conferences.

In his opinion, shooting weddings can almost be said to be the most tiring among all kinds of event shooting.

"The shooting time is very long, and there are so many details to be shot." He said, "but it is also very training." In 2014, he took the wedding for the first time, "Basically nothing can be used."

One month later, he was able to take on the shooting of the assistant camera, but it took him a year to grow into an independent main photographer.

At the end of the day of shooting, it is usually 9 o'clock in the evening when I get home, but the work is not over yet.

Many people now require photographers to publish a set of repaired photos on the evening of the wedding day, while cameramen need to publish a 15-second short video on the same day-only for Moments.

Waiting for them to spend an hour or two to finish this work, it is late at night.

"The National Day is the peak season for weddings. Many people booked the shooting a year in advance. Our income in October was also several times higher than usual."

This year's "October", Miao Cao took 6 days of continuous shooting, which is quite a test of physical strength, but the rewards are also corresponding.

Weddings are changing with each passing day, and the wedding people have to catch up

"Weddings are changing with each passing day."

After 7 years in the industry, Miao Cao photographed hundreds of weddings and felt the significant changes in weddings.

Nowadays, more and more newcomers will prepare many sets of costumes, uniquely designed wedding links, make appointments with makeup artists to try makeup in advance, and ask hosts not to use the same ritual routines...

The wedding industry has gradually matured, competition has become fiercer, and some new professions have emerged.

For example, in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, many people will spend a lot of money to hire a wedding planner to coordinate all wedding matters.

In the new first-tier cities such as Hangzhou and Chengdu, the standard configuration of the wedding party is the "Five King Kong"-a wedding butler who is responsible for arranging various chores on the wedding day.

"Market competition prevents wedding people from stopping, but also to catch up." Miao Cao said that his wedding shooting equipment is being updated year by year, and his shooting methods have also added many new tricks.

Lan Lan is not just a make-up artist. She has long since turned from a working girl to the owner of a bridal shop, and has cooperated with various wedding companies to develop business.

At the scene of the wedding, which is quite ceremonial, the wedding party witnessed all kinds of human realities.

They have encountered weddings that touched the audience, couples who were not so harmonious, and relatives who had drunk fights; they also encountered the dilemma of losing their data cards and losing their cameras; of course, they also met some new couples, best men, bridesmaids, and bridesmaids. The colleagues became good friends.

For many people, "October" is a rare holiday, you can rest, travel or hold a wedding.

For wedding people, this holiday is exactly the peak season for work, and there are busy figures in the "getting together and getting married" scenes all over the country.

After Lan Lan finished the makeup for the bride, she still had to rush to her bridal shop to keep busy.

Miao Cao still has a lot of work in the week after the "November" holiday.

"Before and after the National Day holiday is the peak season for weddings, we have the busiest and most earning time." Miao Cao said.
