Zuoquan County, located in the southeast of Shanxi Province and on the west side of Taihang Mountain, was originally named Liao County. In September 1942, it was changed to its current name in September 1942 in memory of General Zuo Quan, the deputy chief of staff of the Eighth Route Army who died here.

Wang Xiaodan said that the total planned area of this project is more than 30 hectares, mainly including the former site area and the old street. Area, museum area, business center, etc.
Among them, the "Tongyu 1941" Museum has three floors, and the architectural plan adopts the layout characteristics of Shanxi courtyards.
"The entrance section of the museum will be designed as a'time and space tunnel', giving visitors a feeling of going through history." Wang Xiaodan said.
The museum will use an immersive experience to vividly interpret the development path of the base area from the perspectives of economy, politics, and culture.

Up to now, the overall plan of the project has been completed and the business center is under construction.
Zhang Xueping, deputy director of the Administrative Committee of Zuoquan Eco-cultural Tourism Demonstration Zone, said that in the next step, the "Tongyu 1941" small town project will be further branded and promoted to promote the deep integration of the local cultural and tourism industry and build a complete scenic tourism system. .
