But like Tesla and its Superchargers, Ionity has just launched the “plug and charge” function, which allows the user to simply connect their electric vehicle to the device for charging to begin.

The terminals and the car come into contact, exchange information, and invoicing is done automatically.

Called to become widespread, this system is initially compatible only with certain models, such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Mercedes EQS or the Porsche Taycan.
