In Russia, from February 1, 2022, the size of the childcare allowance until he reaches one and a half years will increase by 5.8%.

The minimum payment amount will be about 7.5 thousand rubles, and the maximum - almost 31.3 thousand rubles.

This is stated in the conclusion of the Accounts Chamber "On the budget of the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation for 2022 and for the planning period 2023-2024."

According to the document, in total, the authorities plan to allocate 169.5 billion rubles for the payment of childcare benefits in 2022.

In 2023, the volume of corresponding expenses will increase to 184.7 billion rubles, and in 2024 - to 199.1 billion.

Note that the allowance can be received by one of the parents, grandmother, grandfather or other relative caring for the child.

Both employed and unemployed citizens are eligible for payment.

For working Russians, the amount of the allowance per child should be equal to 40% of the average person's earnings over the past two years.

In 2021, the minimum payment amount is about 7.1 thousand rubles, and the maximum is 29.6 thousand rubles.

Unemployed citizens, including mothers fired during pregnancy, are entitled to a payment of 7.1 thousand rubles.

If the mother lost her job during maternity leave due to the liquidation of the organization, the amount of the benefit will be 40% of the average earnings.

If a person was fired due to the liquidation of the organization during the parental leave, the amount of the allowance will remain the same as paid at the last place of work.

The planned indexation of payments will largely help protect benefits from inflation, said Pavel Sigal, First Vice President of the All-Russian Public Organization for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses "Support of Russia".

According to him, such actions are part of the state's social policy to support the income level of the population.

“The government is well aware of the trend towards a slight increase in citizens' incomes due to the pandemic, and therefore the increase in benefits is becoming a necessary measure to support citizens.

This is an integral part of the constant work of the authorities, "Pavel Sigal emphasized in an interview with RT.

At the same time, payments additionally stimulate the birth rate and consumption, which becomes another factor in the growth of the economy as a whole.

This point of view in an interview with RT was expressed by Nikita Maslennikov, head of the "Finance and Economics" direction of the Institute of Contemporary Development.

“We need regular payments of maternity capital, childcare benefits and other funds to improve the demographic situation in the country.

When parents feel solid ground under their feet, they have additional motivation, and the economy only benefits from this.

Of course, purchasing power, followed by consumer demand, only grows, ”Maslennikov explained.

From February 1, 2022, the lump sum for the birth of a child will also be indexed by 5.8%.

The size of the payment will increase from the current 18.9 thousand to almost 20 thousand rubles.

Let us recall that the allowance is due to all Russian families, regardless of the level of income and the number of children.

In 2022, budget expenditures for lump sum payments will amount to about 19.9 billion rubles, in 2023 - 20.9 billion, and in 2024 - 21.9 billion rubles.

Also, over the next three years, the authorities are going to systematically increase spending on maternity benefits.

In 2022, the corresponding budget spending will amount to 132.8 billion rubles, in 2023 - 144.9 billion, and in 2024 - 156.1 billion.

The amount of the maternity allowance depends on the woman's financial situation.

The payment is calculated on the basis of average earnings, scholarships, allowances or the minimum wage (minimum wage).

If a woman officially worked before going on maternity leave, then the amount of payment will be 100% of the average earnings for two years.

Funds are credited to women for the entire period of maternity leave.

For one baby, this is 140 days (70 days before delivery and 70 days after).

For labor with complications and multiple pregnancies, the terms are 156 and 194 days, respectively.

In 2021, for the birth of one child, the amount of the benefit varies from 58.9 thousand to 340.8 thousand rubles, with complicated childbirth - from 65.6 thousand to 379.7 thousand rubles, and at the birth of two or more children at once - from 81.6 thousand to 472.2 thousand rubles.

“State expenditures, of course, are increasing, but they are unlikely to become a serious burden on the budget.

The economy is still gradually recovering, which means that enterprises and organizations are starting to work in full force, therefore, there is income and deductions are made to the FSS, "said in an interview with RT the head of the scientific laboratory" Quantitative Methods of Researching Regional Development "of the PRUE.
