“Russia strictly fulfills all contracts for gas supplies to the European Union, but does not supply additional volumes,” he said.

His words are quoted by TASS.

Borrell also called the situation with the rise in gas prices in Europe "the perfect storm", when many objective factors coincided.

Earlier, during the plenary session of the Russian Energy Week forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country is increasing supplies to Europe “even in difficult conditions,” and Gazprom has increased gas supplies to Europe “by about 10%,” while including LNG, gas supplies to Europe "increased by 15%."

He also announced his readiness to further increase gas exports if the Europeans themselves ask for it.

In addition, the Kremlin noted that "in order to transport something through Ukraine, you need someone to buy it."
