Agreement to support companies and encourage the exchange of trade missions with Ghana

Dubai South, the largest urban development project focused on aviation, logistics and real estate, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, the investment attraction and promotion agency directly under the Ghana President’s Office, to promote inclusive economic cooperation, bilateral trade and investment.

The agreement was signed in the Abu Dhabi Hall in the Business Connect Center at the Expo 2020 Dubai site, by Mohsen Ahmed, Executive Director of the Logistics District in Dubai South, and CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center, Yuvi Grant, in the presence of the CEO of the Foundation Dubai Aviation City and Dubai South, Khalifa Al Zaffin.

The two parties aim behind the agreement to establish an attractive environment for small and medium-sized companies, encourage the exchange of trade missions, help prepare business programs, facilitate acquaintance between companies, and exchange information between the two parties.

The Executive Director of the Logistics District in Dubai South, Mohsen Ahmed, said that the bilateral agreement comes to enhance the ideal environment for small and medium-sized companies and enhance economic relations.

He added, "Our leadership has set a long-term strategic roadmap for us, and we can rely on it to achieve optimal results in strengthening relations with other entities in many countries of the world," noting that the agreement comes shortly after the launch of "Expo 2020 Dubai", which paves the way. For a resilient global economy, it helps enable strong communication between people and companies around the world.

For his part, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center, Yoffe Grant, stressed that "Expo 2020 Dubai" provides a great opportunity to promote the investment opportunities offered by Ghana to investors around the world.

He pointed out that Ghana's participation in the exhibition would enhance important sectors, including health, housing, construction and manufacturing, technology, digital economy, tourism, creative arts, and agriculture.
