China News Service, Yinchuan, October 14 (Reporter Li Peishan) "After successfully applying for the newly upgraded'Sino-Swiss Free Trade Agreement Certificate of Origin', export goods can enjoy certain tariff preferences and customs clearance convenience at the customs of the importing country. We can have more consumers overseas." On October 14, Li Yuxin, the manager of Ningxia Orient Tantalum Co., Ltd., told a reporter from Chinanews.com that under the guidance of Xingqing Customs affiliated to Yinchuan Customs, the company exported a batch of Swiss products to Switzerland. Tantalum rods successfully applied for the first new version of China-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement Certificate of Origin in Ningxia.

Since 2021, Xingqing Customs has issued 24 certificates of origin for the company, and it is expected that the company’s export products will receive a tariff preference of approximately US$30,000 from the target country.

  The certificate of origin is an important certificate for enjoying tariff reduction and other preferential treatment, and has the reputation of "paper gold" in international trade.

From January to September this year, Yinchuan Customs issued a total of 4,355 certificates of origin of various types, with a visa amount of US$621 million.

Visa products are mainly exported to 81 countries and regions including India, South Korea, the Netherlands, the United States, Germany, and Pakistan.

Among them, there are 1819 certificates of origin of the free trade agreement, and the value of the visa is 199 million U.S. dollars; based on an average 5% tariff preference, it is estimated that the target country’s tariff preference will be about 9,936,400 U.S. dollars for the enterprise.

  Since the certificate of origin was upgraded from the original "manual review" to "smart review", the visa duration has also been significantly reduced.

From January to September this year, the smart verification rate of the certificate of origin of Yinchuan Customs exceeded 80%. The utilization rate of self-printing of certificates of origin of enterprises in the customs area increased by 6 percentage points year-on-year, making it more convenient and efficient for enterprises to apply for certificates.

  At the same time, in order to help local enterprises in Ningxia seize the new opportunities of RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement), Yinchuan Customs has repeatedly carried out online and offline RCEP policy publicity training, business guidance and research in various forms with local relevant departments. Work has achieved "full coverage" of key enterprises in the customs area.

From January to September this year, Yinchuan Customs issued a total of 1,129 FTA certificates of origin for goods exported to RCEP member countries, involving a value of 135 million U.S. dollars, involving 10 trading countries including South Korea, Singapore, and Australia6 Types of certificates.
