His Highness stressed that the "African Global Business Forum" represents an ideal platform to discover new paths of cooperation through which to deepen partnership ties with the African continent, with its large and promising growth potential, where Dubai can, based on its position as a major center for trade and business in the region, Providing great added value based on its distinguished development experience by placing its expertise at the disposal of partners from different parts of Africa to support development trends in many areas.

This came during the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Supreme Chairman of the Emirates Group, and Chairman of the Higher Committee of Expo 2020 Dubai. And His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as part of the work of the "African Global Business Forum", which launched its sixth edition today (Wednesday) in Dubai and is organized by the Dubai Chamber in cooperation with "Expo 2020 Dubai" under the slogan "Trade leads the future of economic transformations". It concludes tomorrow (Thursday).

The forum was also attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Director-General of the Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of the Court of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of Dubai, Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti, and Chairman of Chambers. The session, entitled "Exploring Africa's Capabilities", touched on the efforts made by the Congolese government to develop infrastructure and invest in the fields of hybrid solar energy.

 The President of the Republic of Congo said: “We view the UAE as an important partner for the African continent, and through its distinguished capabilities and partnerships with the private sector in it, cooperation in the fields of energy, small and medium enterprises and technology can be strengthened.

We value the specialized events organized by the Emirate of Dubai because of their effective role in creating important partnerships between African countries and the countries of the world, expressing his country’s aspiration to increase the volume of investment and technological exchange.”

He noted that the majority of the African population is young, but their abilities are not being utilized, which calls for attracting more investments to African markets and working on developing their infrastructure, transferring technological knowledge to them to integrate them into the international trade system and creating economies that do not depend solely on imports.

 Reem Al-Hashemi explained that the markets of the African continent have witnessed huge growth in the past years, noting that the UAE sees important opportunities in Africa not only in the field of business and trade exchange, but also in the field of cultural and humanitarian relations and cooperation in various fields, especially with regard to the exchange of knowledge and port management. and Mining, noting the value of this forum as well as the opportunity that Expo 2020 Dubai offers to discover more prospects for cooperation with the countries of the African continent.”
