  At the forum, experts and scholars from the Institute of Cultural Creativity of Tsinghua University and China Tourism Scenic Area Association gave keynote speeches respectively.

China Tourist Vehicle Association, Yichang Municipal Government, and Yichang Tourism Group jointly issued the "Yichang Initiative" to jointly advocate protecting the Yangtze River's ecological environment, leading green and low-carbon travel, and improving the quality of camping tourism.

  According to the "China Self-driving Car, Motorhome and Camping Tourism Development Report" released by the China Tourist Vehicles Association, in 2020, the number of self-driving tourists accounted for 77.8% of the country's total travellers, reaching 2.24 billion, a year-on-year growth rate of 21.7%.

  On the same day, the China Tourist Vehicle and Ship Association awarded licenses to the first batch of 15 C-level self-driving caravan camps in the country, and 15 camps initiated and established the "National C-level self-driving caravan camp club" to jointly plan "brand building, resource sharing, A new pattern of win-win development featuring complementary products, market interaction, and mutual flow of customers.

  At present, Yichang City, Hubei is moving forward around the six development goals of "a world-famous tourist city, clean energy capital, Yangtze throat hub, fine phosphating center, Three Gorges ecological barrier, and a model city of civilization".

  Zhou Zhengying, deputy mayor of Yichang City, stated that he will vigorously develop RV camping eco-tourism, green tourism, global tourism, and high-quality tourism, and contribute to the development of camping tourism in China a "sample of Yichang" with Xiajiang characteristics.
