Abou Al-Faraj, a designer and branding specialist with a particular interest in Arabic, came up with the concept of innovative learning after her son refused to attend Arabic lessons in kindergarten.

She preferred to fund her project through crowdfunding, as well as traditional financing models.

“As a mother and designer, I needed to create a positive experience for my child to learn Arabic,” she said.

The crowdfunding campaign through the (Dubai Next) platform allowed me to get closer to my community, use them on my entrepreneurial journey, and get support that goes far beyond the financial aspect, which would not have been possible if I had chosen to raise capital in the traditional way.”

Loujain Abu Al-Faraj continued: "It is encouraging to see a crowdfunding platform launched from the Emirate of Dubai, and being affiliated with the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, this gives project owners and supporters enough confidence."
