“We will need a decent amount of time - several months - for credit institutions to set up their calculating and sorting machines, self-service devices, to put it simply, ATMs, for this new banknote,” Alekseev said in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.
According to the regulator's assessment, the turnover will gradually be saturated with new banknotes in 2023-2025, and in 2026-2029 their share will become quite significant.
