Cairo Airport receives the first flights from Libya after a 7-year hiatus

Today, Saturday, Cairo Airport received the first flight of Libyan Airlines coming from Maitika Airport in Tripoli, after a seven-year hiatus, as Afriqiyah Airways preceded it in organizing the first flight from Libya on September 30th.

The leaders of the Libyan Airlines and the civil aviation in Egypt were keen to be present to receive the first flight of the Libyan Airlines coming from Libya to Cairo Airport, and the arrival of the plane was celebrated and stopped at the helipad at Cairo Airport and the flowers were distributed to the passengers of the plane upon their disembarkation.

The authorities took the necessary precautions with the passengers to ensure that they were pregnant as a result of the PCR analysis, which states that they are free of infection with the emerging corona virus.

It is noteworthy that flights between the airports of Libya and Burj Al Arab, west of Alexandria, have been going on for several years, but flights to Cairo stopped in 2014 due to the security situation in Libya.
