The employees of Desigual, the Catalan fashion company,
have voted by majority to have a four-day working day,
with one of them teleworking, in exchange for a salary reduction associated with the 13% adjustment of hours, of which the company assumes 6.5%.
The vote took place today at Desigual's central offices, 500 workers had been summoned and 98% participated.
86% have voted in favor

Starting tomorrow, around 500 people working at the brand's headquarters will have a four-day week.
"It is
a brave bet to make the company the best place to work
and, with the support of the workers, Desigual takes a step forward in the implementation of disruptive work and conciliation models and becomes the first company fashionable in Spain to offer this type of conditions ", they point out in a statement.
"We knew that it was a risky proposal and that it could raise doubts, but we are totally convinced that it will
contribute to improving the reconciliation
between personal and professional life for all of us who are part of Desigual," said Alberto Ojinaga, CEO of Desigual.
It is not the first company to do so.
Telefónica has also established a pilot program for a four-day,
32-hour
work week
that is concentrated from Monday to Thursday
