It is only in its 5-seater version that the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer has been renewed in the form of a large 2 Series. Only 4.38m long, it adopts the stylistic codes in force of the brand, with tapered headlights and the large double grille.
Inside, the dashboard is adorned with two screens of respectively 10.25 and 10.70 inches.
Legroom has been optimized at the rear while the boot has a capacity of 470 liters, which can be extended to 1,455 liters when the rear bench is folded down.
Available only with the 7-speed automatic gearbox, the 2 Series Active Tourer will have petrol engines of 136 and 156 hp respectively (with 48V mild hybridization).
Two plug-in hybrid versions of 225 and 326 hp will arrive later in the year.
In diesel, a block of 150 hp will also be on the program.
Marketing is scheduled from February 2022.
