There is a 'Youth Entrepreneurship Academy' established by the government to help young people preparing to start a business. A subsidy of up to 100 million won is given along with education, and a broker who aimed for this took only money by using a fake founder.

This is the exclusive report by reporter Han Sang-woo.

<Reporter> This

is a young entrepreneurship academy in Changwon, Gyeongnam.

A man went to school and received training for 6 hours, and he is a broker who appeared as a proxy.

In fact, a student entering the Entrepreneurship Academy was selected as a support target for my business plan to make a mist sprayer for corona prevention by a woman in her 20s.

However, the broker took care of all the processes of selection, completion of education, and receiving subsidies.

The prototype was also faked by the company arranged by the broker. When the Startup Academy paid the company 22 million won for the prototype production, Mr. Lee deducted 7 million won from the commission and handed it over, and paid a part of this money back to the broker. .

Mr. Lee and the broker have already secured 30 million won in this way out of the 60 million won support deposit.

[Gyeongnam Changwon Jinhae Police Station officials: It seems that there are various (corruption) not only here but also elsewhere (other Youth Entrepreneurship Academy). That is under confirmation.] The

military academy could not filter out brokers due to poor administration, such as submitting prototypes with photos and not filtering proxy attendance.

It is known that Lee is even being investigated by the police on charges of prostitution during the education period.

Police are expanding their investigation after obtaining statements from brokers that there were more than 10 similar cases.

[Koo Ja-geun / People's Power Rep. (National Assembly Living Self-Defence): There is a high possibility that the corruption revealed this time is only a part.

We need to thoroughly investigate whether there are similar waste of blood tax in other regional start-up academies.] The

youth start-up academy, which

costs

100 billion won a year, needs more meticulous management so that real young entrepreneurs can get help. .
