Renfe begins

its first two days of unemployment

this week

, on Thursday and Friday

, within a series of strikes to denounce the precariousness of employment and the conditions and irregularities in the internal mobility processes, among other things.

These will be extended for eight days until October 12,

coinciding with the Pilar bridge.

The strike

has been called by the Union of Railway Machinists

(Semaf), it will last 24 hours and no minimum services have yet been set, although from Renfe they point out that they are pending agreement with the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban agenda.

On Monday 4 and Thursday 7 the strike will be partial, between five and nine in the morning and two and four and between six and eight in the afternoon.

Thursday 7 will be between twelve in the morning and four in the afternoon and between six and eight.

The Railway Union (SF) has also called for partial work stoppages as of Friday, October 1.

"Defense of the railway"

With these strikes, Semaf wants to

"defend the railway, its employees and the service it provides

to the citizens."

They criticize the breach of agreements reached in 2007 to guarantee integrity in the provision of services and the failure to restore all non-covered employment and all circulations suppressed.

They also denounce

the breach of the collective agreement

in relation to the new incorporations and processes of mobility and integration of the personnel, "intentionally hindering the normal development of the processes, in order to reduce the workforce."

"It is alarming that all these circumstances are taking place right at this moment, with the opening of the rail passenger transport market to competition, in the European year of the railroad, and without incentives in the face of the constant decline in freight transport by this means. , taking into account the 2030 targets, "says Semaf.
